Before moving to Savannah from Columbus GA, Skip was planning his escape to Rock & Roll! He met older neighbor, Thad Strickland, in '63. Skip had drums, the Stricklands had guitars so the garage bands began! Then the Beatles! This made it serious business. Then the Stones. They made it loose. Skip with Thad, was in a developmental contract with former Allman Bros manager, Bunky Odom in the 80's.
